      TL;DR:

Scrobbled listens for two albums. Scrobbles initially were unlinked/linked incorrectly. Re-linked listens to correct releases but statistics still show original incorrect/unlinked releases as if listens were never updated.

Any help/guidance to fix/troubleshoot would be most appreciated. Thanks!

      Full Issue Summary:

During the month of July this year (7/2025), I listened to two new albums/releases that initially scrobbled as being misidentified or unlinked to any release in musicbrainz. I later went back to correctly link those listens to the correct track and release group(s).

However, over a month later my statistics still show those initial incorrect/unlinked release groups show alongside the correctly linked releases in my statistics even though the listens themselves have been re-linked.

The releases in question are the Superman (2025) soundtrack and 2025 London Cast Recording of Next to Normal.

      As shown in the screenshots:

      • The Superman soundtrack is identified as two separate releases,  whereas the 2025 Next to Normal album seemingly is being separated into multiple different releases with different album artists, one of which is an older N2N cast recording.
      • These ghost/duplicate releases also still maintain listen counts but the listens themselves are not visible anywhere in my actual listen list.
      • When I go into track view I can see the tracks it looks like the stats might be referencing but the corresponding listens of these tracks were re-linked to the correct releases. So these tracks are more ghost/duplicate items.

      Misc. Notes/Troubleshooting info

      • The only noteworthy x-factor compared to other tracks I've scrobbled appears to be that these two albums were relatively new releases when I started listening to them they either didn't have a MusicBrainz release initially or the release's metadata wasn't fully up-to-date. However, I've always been able to re-link music later without running into this problem so not sure why it's only these two albums.
      • The scrobbles for both albums were sourced from streaming on Spotify and playing local music on my phone.
      • Timeline-wise: I started listening to the N2N cast recording on 7/5, and the Superman soundtrack on 7/12.
      • I use PanoScrobbler to scrobble my listens. Some of these ghost/duplicate releases/listens appear and affect my stats there b. I've tried editing there and the edits don't push out to ListenBrainz. I did have not run into this issue with any other releases/tracks.
      • I checked the update intervals for ListenBrainz and if the info there is correct, these should have cleared out by now in one of the data dumps/update intervals by this point.
      • Last.fm looks like it may also be having this issue, but can't confirm since they only grab the first artist which causes issues with everything I scrobble there. ListenBrainz is my main platform for stats-tracking.
