Currently the spotify recorder sends a lot of duplicates down the listens pipeline – that is fine, since the duplicates get removed. But that makes the whole pipeline stuffed full of things that will be discarded and greatly slows things down. We need to improve the recorder to only write new listens down the pipeline.
