AS A wiki user
I WANT the api, and various extensions, to work
SO THAT the full power of the wiki is usable to me

AS A sysadmin who doesn't dedicate much time to the project
I WANT hosted elements to be easily installable, maintainable and testable
SO THAT changes can be delivered within my lifetime

Rebuild mediawiki using as much "off the shelf" as possible.

• reduce the maintenance burden
  • Ubuntu packages as much as possible
  • as few customisations as possible
• use mediawiki's preferred URL structure (/wiki/Page_Name)
  • 301 redirect from old URLs
• replace WikiSpamProtection (auth pop up) by captcha
• write a test suite
  • every feature (that's likely to be broken) that we need, should be proven by a test
  • for example: extensions, API working, etc.
