The metabrainz-prod containers cannot currently have more than one instance running because they serve the replication packets that are in stored in a docker volume. We currently do not have a means to synchronize docker volumes across multiple nodes.

In order to remove more single points of failure we will need to add this capability to our hosting infrastructure.

Please research possible solutions to this problem so that we may discuss our possible options moving forward.
