It is currently written with Fabric 1 which is written in Python 2 whose EOL date is set to January 1, 2020, see the Python developer's guide and this countdown.

Thus, it should probably be ported to another system by then.

Since Fabric 2 (written in Python 3) is not at 100% feature parity with Fabric 1, and MusicBrainz Server doesn’t have any other dependency to Python, it might be best to find another candidate or to replace it with scripts written in existing dependencies (bash, node, perl).
