Ok, this is probably going to be a very rare case, but here's what happened: I started some relationship edits, which included adding new works, but had to leave it unfinished. By the time I got back and finished the edits, which was about a day later, the works I'd created had been deleted because the relationships hadn't been applied in the mean time. I wasn't thinking about that and finished the other edits I was making, but when I submitted them, the little "submitting edits" message would appear, and then nothing would happen.

Fortunately I was stubborn, because I didn't want to have to re-enter all the edits, and I finally figured out what happened. I opened a new relationship editor, recreated the works and their relationships (which was the easy part, all batch edits), and when I removed the deleted works from my original editing window, it accepted the other edits. Whew!

Anyway, my request here is mainly that there be some feedback about why the edits wouldn't go through in the first place. Obviously I'll be more on my toes in the future, too, but in a perfect world the database would have accepted the edits that were still good, and provided some commentary on the others.
