It used to be that pasting a link for an entity into the field while adding a relationship will automatically change the current selected entity to be that particular one. Currently, it won't automatically do that and you have to manually change it using the dropdown menu which slows down the workflow.
The dropdown menu and other selection (vocal, instrument, etc.) for the type of relationship of the target entity would change though but you still have to manually pick the correct entity type.
