the "Please choose a condition" dropdown is used to add a new search condition. It has an x next to it which implies that you can delete it. but you can't delete this one, only other existing search criteria. This dropdown shouldn't have an x next to it.

Once you select a new condition, the value of this dropdown changes to '', not to the placeholder "Please choose a condition"
