For obvious reasons, you can no longer contribute to the database if you die. A deceased person's account, in my opinion, should be permanently locked and added to a new user group for deceased editors. People would know that this user can no longer be reached on or off the website, their memory would be preserved and a malicious user would not be able to steal their password to desecrate their bio or cause other problems. Maybe a candle emoji 🕯️ (similar to Wikipedia) or MEMORIAM label (like Letterboxd) could be added next to their name too.
