Before NGS, when we edited track names, there were no "Edit medium" edits.
What happened was multiple "Edit track" and "Edit recording" edits, depending if we edited the track numbers, the track titles and/or the track durations.
Not the same "Edit recording" as post-NGS.
These historic equivalent to "Edit medium" edits should be linked to Releases, so that we could see them in their related Release edit histories.
Edit recording (204): track title edits
- Equivalent of post-NGS Edit medium + Edit recording
- Should be marked as (historic)
- Are linked to Recordings
- Are not linked to Releases (
MBS-7864) - Are not linked to Artists
These 8 "Edit recording" type 204 edits are not linked to release nor to artist (check out their raw edit data).
Edit recording (245): track duration edits
- Equivalent of post-NGS Edit medium + Edit recording
- Should be marked as (historic)
- Are linked to Recordings
- Are not linked to Releases
- Are not linked to Artists
These 7 "Edit recording" type 245 edits are not linked to release (nor to the other release) nor to artist (check out their raw edit data).
Edit track (historic) (205): track number edits
- Equivalent of post-NGS Edit medium
- The data we see now is apparently always wrong (
MBS-3503) - Are not linked to Recordings (but do we need that?)
- Are linked to wrong Releases
- Are not linked to Artists (but do we need that?)
Edit track (historic) (210): track artist edits
- Equivalent of post-NGS Edit medium + Edit recording
- Are linked to Recordings
- Are not linked to Releases
- Are linked to Artists
These 2 "Edit track (historic)" type 210 edits are not linked to release nor to artist (check out their raw edit data).
