Let's let people share their MusicBrainz work!
By adding a share button after substantial edits, for example after adding a release.:
The social services pictured are just examples, any one would be a good start.
They are individually listed, rather than the standard 'share' button, because ideally it would pull on specific relationships, depending on the platform chosen. For instance, if the artist has a Mastodon URL, this sharing function should tag their account.
If it's too complicated to pull those relationships it is fine to just have a standard 'share' function with static text, and another ticket can be made with the more complex relationships/tagging artists and labels.
I've added "[release]" ([year], [format]) by [artist twitter handle*], released on [label twitter handle*],† to the @musicbrainz database.
#[genres/tags attached to the release]
[link to release on MB]
*if available, otherwise in plaintext.
† If self released leave out the 'released on' line
I would like to see more fun notifications in MB in future (e.g. 'congratulations on X edits!'), where this format can be re-used.
Perhaps code/expertise can be taken from the ListenBrainz Year in Music share buttons?
