Entities that are about to be created have a dotted bottom line (or border?). But if there is a diff background color and a line break it can become invisible. This has become more common in e.g. mediums edits due to artists disambiguations always being shown.

The only visual cues left then a new entity is about to be created are the lack of a link and the tooltip
