Spanish (Latin America) is part of our languages available for translation with locale code es-419. It is used as a replacement of Greek (Greece) and Spanish (Spain) for MBS-9669 Selenium test in the pull request #3146 which also partly fixes the handling of language variant with numeric code. When displaying the website locally the UI language menu still doesn’t unfold.

This variant is unlikely to be active any soon, at least not until Spanish gets back to completion and until some solution is found for handling language variants (such as MBS-11416 for example).

Even though, it is likely hiding some more in-depth issues that could be resolved to also handle other language variants such as zh-Hant in the future.
