      I propose adding a new external link relationship for Spotify Songwriter Pages in MusicBrainz. This would allow users to link a songwriter’s MusicBrainz entry to their official Spotify for Artists Songwriter Page, similar to existing artist and label profile links.

      Rationale:

      1. Better Metadata Integration
        • Spotify provides dedicated songwriter pages via Spotify for Artists (https://artists.spotify.com/songwriter/\{SpotifySongwriterID}{}).
        • These pages centralize a songwriter’s credits and collaborations, making them a valuable reference for users and metadata curators.
      1. Recognition of Songwriters
        • Unlike artist profiles, songwriter pages are specifically designed to showcase a songwriter’s work, rather than their own releases.
        • Linking these pages in MusicBrainz helps highlight songwriter contributions and provides users with a direct source for verification.
        •
      1. Improved User Experience & Accuracy
        • Users can quickly verify songwriting credits by visiting the Spotify Songwriter Page directly.
        • This helps reduce metadata errors and improves cross-platform data consistency.

      Proposed Implementation:

      • Entity Type: “Person” (for individual songwriters)
      • Link Type Name: “Spotify Songwriter”
      • Relationship Type: "Official homepage" or "Streaming platform profile"
      • URL Format: https://artists.spotify.com/songwriter/\{SpotifySongwriterID}

      Would love to hear feedback on this proposal! Thanks!
