Countries usually have a specific weekday on which items are released.

It would therefore be useful to be told the weekday corresponding to a release date, both as a check when making, and as an aid when voting on edits involving release dates.

I would suggest a dynamically updated field next to the release date in the release editor, and a bracketed value following any release dates in edit summaries.
