This function was working nicely, but has regressed with the most recent fixes.

When I filter edits for the name of an editor (esp. my own!) it is ignored.

IIRC, while this function was working for me, there was some scripting behaviour which provided a pull-down of candidate user names for me to pick one. Now I still see the magnifying glass icon in the text box, but no pull-down is presented.

This is different from the behaviour for other text-type fields. For example, I can choose the "artist" condition, and I still get the pull-down, can select a name and see the field turn green.

So, I tried searching for Artist=Gustav Mahler, Editor=monxton. The query sent was:

The result was as if I had just asked for Mahler with no editor filter, and moreover, the editor field had disappeared from the search conditions.
