when you forget to set the relationship type, the change direction button is not taken into account when creating the link.
so when you are on the page for creation a relationship from the page where the red "Link type is required" is displayed you still can press the button "change direction" and the entities will still swap places, however the link itself will be in the wrong direction when created.
