At the end of an "Edit Release" form (or after finishing it), the WebUI should assist in adding ASIN, discogs-link and Wikipedia-links. This could work like this:
Variant 1
This should be easy to implement
After the "Thanks, entry added" message, directly put a form
Release XXXX has ASIN ____((input-field))____________ (this will deliver cover art, if any) Release XXXX has discogs-entry ____((input-field))____________ Artist YYYY has homepage at ____((input-field))____________ Artist YYYY has wikipedia-entry at ____((input-field))____________ Artist YYYY has discogs-entry ____((input-field))____________
Of course "Artist YYYY has ..." should only appear, if the artist does not yet have these entries.
Variant 2
Same as Variant 1, but add some kind of "Search" links behind.
- For ASIN this could be a barcode-look up.
- Either should the Amazon-site to search for depend on the release country,
- or there should be different links to search the most important amazon-sites (.com. co.uk, .jp, .fr, .de), ...)
- For discogs-links, this could be an "expert search" which is restricted to the artist, if the artist already has an discogs-entry.
Variant 3
Same as Variant 2, but the search results are displayed in an iframe. Alternatively, the server requests some meta-data and data from Amazon and displays them in a small table.
In both cases there should be simple "o use this entry" check-boxes.
