"Since html was entirely disabled in the annotations, the available markup is a bit limiting. It would be nice if simple markup would be restored, or if the wiki syntax would be extended.

allowing CSS is very dangerous. (in the old system i could easily emulate the login screen with a simple <div style="position: absolute;"> etc.. but perhaps <font color=""> could be allowed to draw attention to specific bits in a larger text, although in most cases <b> and/or <i> should suffice.

there is wiki syntax for lists, so <li> and friends aren't neccesary. simple tables might be useful in a few cases. <pre> or a wiki equivalent would be very nice. <blockquote> too."

I think some of these things are available now (bold and italics are for sure) but this might still be of interest?
