To address the lack of auto-editor nominations, it would be useful to have a script that runs periodically and identifies possible auto-editors who could be nominated automatically.
When performing the nomination in the (as yet unwritten) new NGS-compatible election code, it should highlight the fact that this is an automatically generated nomination, and indicate that seconding this nomination should only be done after examination of the editor's edit record, in particular edits that received no-votes.
The criteria should be weighted towards number of edits made that would become auto-edits if this editor were an auto-editor (neither trivial - e.g. guess-case fixes - nor complex - e.g. merge or remove changes that will go up for vote anyhow). Previous nominations should also be taken into account, as well as results thereof (expired due to lack of seconds or declined - or canceled if a manual nomination were made). Probably a three-month hold-down makes sense too, no matter how many new edits an editor makes, you don't want them auto-nominated within 90 days.
