It would be helpful if split artist edits would be allowed to be entered if there are only "member of band" relationships.

Currently, they are only allowed if there are either no relationships at all or only collaboration relationships.

Sample use case: http://musicbrainz.org/artist/d2b77423-ab80-44ca-b146-c4de7ec030ea (a collaboration between a band and a singer, both of which are currently listed as members of this pseudo-artist). If a split artist edit was allowed to go through in cases like this, they could be solved in 2 weeks instead of 4.

Importantly, the style guide is silent on the issue of splitting long-term collaboration in NGS.
