I use Ubuntu/Firefox, but I doubt that's relevant. I did use a lot of time for the edit (which is somewhat duplicated in http://musicbrainz.org/edit/15817430 ), the "Du"/"du" question took me to lots of interesting links.
First of all: a random MusicBrainz user can't be expected to give a summary, to know the affected version(s) or the components.
It's great that you trust people to copy the error message, but it would be easier to give a link to a page where people can just report the error. Offering a possibility to tell more would be nice, but requiring to tell more is intimidating for no good reason.
