Release type is not an adequate means of grouping releases. More attributes (release status) and combinations need to be taken into account for grouping.

Just for an example, I would group as follows:

• (Official releases, not including compilations) – especially official live releases should not appear on a distant page, mixed in with the live bootlegs
• (standalone recordings) (shouldn't be effectively hidden on a different page)
• (compilations)
• (bootlegs)

(I have no real opinion about the order of the last two)
