Occasionally there are recordings in MB which should actually be two separate recordings. Sometimes this is because of a bad merge, sometimes it's because of an incorrect addition.
Example: http://musicbrainz.org/recording/63f3a958-e169-4c5b-9ee9-abf97605ac9f
Right now the most obvious way to split this is to edit one release to add a new recording, wait until the first edit passes, and then edit any remaining releases that use that recording.
However, this requires that you wait two weeks (generally) until the edit passes before you can use the new recording. (A workaround is to create a new standalone recording and connect that to the tracks in question)
It would be nice if there were a 'split recording' edit which would allow selecting which releases from a recording should be moved to the same new recording.
Ideally the edit would also copy all acoustIDs to the new recording as well, but that may be impossible.
