It is very difficult to tell when you are on the page for a merged artist, for example Lethal Bizzle:
- http://musicbrainz.org/artist/f21a407e-3af9-4539-ab3d-c92a5230dff6
- http://musicbrainz.org/artist/1155431a-d35e-4863-9ae0-e3c24eb61aa9
It would be much better the merged artist redirected to the canonical identifier.
It is also quite tricky to tell from the API, without comparing the identifier in the URL with the identifier in the response:
