"Merge artist" doesn't append to "merge queue"

      Following a "Merge artist" link on beta, doesn't actually add anything to the merge "queue" for me.

      It works fine on prod.

      Is this related to MBS-5979 perhaps? I'm guessing not, since there's not really a POST request... and I'm already on beta.
