Right now, if I try to set a disambiguation to be the same as another entity of the same name has, my edit is accepted, applied and errors. As an autoeditor, this means I'm brought back to the entity page, with my edit seemingly ignored (only when checking the history / the mail can I see what was going on).
The most correct way of doing this would seem to be informing the editor that the disambiguation comment is duplicate instead of accepting the edit. It could say something similar to the one when adding an artist with an existing name:
"Possible Duplicate
{EntityType}Warning: The disambiguation comment you've entered is already used on this {EntityType}
with the same name:
- {Entity}
- Two
{EntityType} with the same name can't have the same disambiguation comment. Please enter a different disambiguation or, if the {EntityType}
s are the same, merge them."
