It's possible to paste MBIDs (or URLs containing them) into search fields, which is very useful but it's a hidden feature. Most people will have no idea whatsoever that it's possible.

My suggestion would be to give the search field some placeholder text, e.g. "Start search or paste MBID" (we might need to make the popup a bit wider).
