basically, if you edit release and you get to the recordings tab, you have artist mbid links in the left column (track), but not in right column (recording). this could be very useful when editing VA releases with bogus artists that needs to be split. you can't be sure if someone already haven't merged the recordings, so the recording artist is correct. attaching a screenshot.
