We've been saying for ages that we don't want to do any more work on the direct search and we have several open bugs for it too, so here's a ticket to track what needs doing.

We need to at least:

• Make the indexed search update immediately. I know there was some work done on that, but it had bugs and then we stopped doing anything with it.
• Make sure the search options are all supported by the indexed search, e.g. editors (SEARCH-265) and tags.
• Make sure anything using the direct search (e.g. the edit search for editors, probably some parts of the release editor) is changed to use the indexed search.
