Artist pages sort order inconsistent with label pages (MBS-6976)

For this let's take an example those two simultaneously released 『萬花鏡』+『密航』 and 『胎児の夢』+『蝶のすむ部屋』 compilations.

      1. 『萬花鏡』+『密航』 (CDSOL-0018/19) compiles 1st and 2nd album
      2. 『胎児の夢』+『蝶のすむ部屋』 (CDSOL-0020/21) compiles 3rd and 4th albums

Those are ordered correctly in their Solid RECORDS label page.
Where the current order (date / cat. / etc.) is enough for this.

But in the 佐井好子 (artist's release groups) and 佐井好子/releases artist pages, the order is not only inconsistent but not good.
      Problem : 3rd/4th albums come before 1st/2nd.
I don't know the current sort order but it would be good to incorporate catalogue number (and bar code MBS-6975) as in label pages, in the same consistent order.

Maybe it's very niche stuff but image three singles released same day but that have a logical sequence.
Usually the catalogue numbers would also be in the correct sequence.
So i thought it would make sense to insert the first release date's first catalogue number into the RG sorting formula for display in artist overview page...

if all of those properties are equal, the sorting is random »

[MBS-6796] Use catalogue numbers in release group sorting

With the way the sorting works right now, we could theoretically calculate the first-sorting alphabetical catno for any releases in an RG and use that for sorting, but that'd be a schema change. Not sure how often this is a problem, to be honest, and whether it makes sense to make the processing of changes slower for this, but it's technically possible.

The new sort order is: official / unofficial, primary type, secondary type, first release date, first character of title, release group ID. "BEST OF THE BRAVING/AWAKENING DAYS" both start with B, so the sort being right is probably just luck that the IDs are in that order (so BRAVING was added first). The last example differs on the first character, so they still get sorted alphabetically.

It's strange, most of the examples in this ticket are now fixed, but not all, so I am still wondering what is the (new) sort order of release groups?

          Artist pages showing release groups:

Now OK 『萬花鏡』+『密航』 then 『胎児の夢』+『蝶のすむ部屋 despite alphabetical order would be reverse.

Now OK BEST OF THE BRAVING DAYS then AWAKENING DAYS despite alphabetical order would be reverse.

Now OK 組曲「義経」〜悪忌判官〜夢魔炎上〜来世邂逅 despite alphabetical order would be otherwise.

          BUT

But still NO GOOD 雷神創世 (12th album, KICS-3105) then 風神界逅 (11th album, KICS-3104) because of title alphabetical order and despite the catalogue number order that should be reverse.

Now that release group and release series exist, this suggestion extends to them (MBS-7557).

Another example of reversed order, see 12th album then 11th album :

          • reversed in artist (12th, 11th)
          • OK in releases reversed too in releases not reversed there, it's like usual, don't know what happened when it was temporarily reversed
          • OK in label i have not set any label yet
          • OK is (looking at each‐other)
          • NG is (turn back at each‐other)

Another example of twin compilations released same day
BEST of the BRAVING DAYS is for the first part of their disco.
BEST of the AWAKENING DAYS is for the second part of their disco.
But in artist page, they appear reversed because of the alphabetical sort (they are however sorted OK in releases and in label pages).

Imagine if those three 組曲「義経」 singles would have same release date (it's not the case but imagine).
