I've not been very active in recent months, so I only get to review edits very rarely. But on the few occasions where I review open edits that merge releases, I usually find two or three edits per page that have conflicting recordings. If applied without a NO vote, they create a mess.
It turns out it's much easier for reviewers to spot these conflicts than it is for the editors themselves, and that is because the table of affected recordings is only available in hindsight. Editors have to compare releases in different tabs, so that the tracklists are often misaligned and differences difficult to spot. Is it possible to have those juxtaposed tracklists before the edit is submitted?
