Hey.
In several places (e.g. edit notes), when writing something like "edit #123" the system automatically makes a link to the MB edit of that.
Awesome!
a) I'd like to see that for more types
e.g.
user foo
release <MBID>
release-group <MBID>
label <MBID>
artist <MBID>
and so on...
Obviously it should only make a link out of these, when the MBID is really text that matches the form of an MBID (it's IMHO not necessary to actually check whether it's an existing MBID).
b) make that a bit more generic...
I mean, when I write e.g.
"See the edits #123, #456 and #758"
"See the edits #123 #456 #758"
"See the edits #123, #456, #758"
"See the edits #123 / #456 / #758"
or the same with just "edit"
it should make links for each of them, because text get's really unreadable when I have to write:
See the edit 123, edit 456 and edit 758"
c) I'd guess for MBIDs we don't need another leading character like "#" for edits. For users maybe one should use "@"... or perhaps just "@username" could be an alternative form for "user foo".
Another alternative form could be "editor/editors".
d) These auto-replacement's should IMHO not happen in annotations or other actual DB content like release titles, disambiguation comments and that like.
Cheers,
Chris.
