I was changing a credit for "Дмитрий Дмитриевич Шостакович" to be "Dmitri Shostakovich". I made a typo, so I just removed the text I had entered and immediately started typing again. The RE had immediately re-filled the field with the default name, though, so I ended up with "Дмитрий Дмитриевич ШостаковичDmitr" (etc) - definitely not what I expected!

Unless there's a good reason not to, I'd say we should only re-fill the field when it's exited.
