As part of PICARD-1043, I need to know the number of parts in an ordered work-work "part-of" relationship in order to have e.g. part 3 of 5. But the WS2 XML response currently only has the ordering-key i.e. part 3 and not the total number of parts.

For a release which has all parts on it, the total can be obtained as the maximum of all the ordering-keys for the container work. But not all albums will have this.

This MBS ticket is being submitted to request that WS is enhanced to include the total number of ordered parts in the container work, perhaps as an attribute of the ordering-key e.g.

<ordering-key total="5"> 3 </ordering-key>
