I am aware of an existing ticket for beatport cleanup: MBS-6130, however I found more beatport URL types in the database and I assume that these can be cleaned up pretty easily and independently, therefore I decided to create a new ticket instead of adding the URL types to the existing one. The URL types are both http and https and have different modification of the beatport domain. The rest of the URL has the same structure (/release/"name"/"id") which makes the cleanup rather easy (this is just my assumption). These are the URL types also listed with releases to which they belong. I'm only listing that part of the URL which is different:
- http://beatport.com - https://musicbrainz.org/release/c58a0370-ae8c-4017-9ba8-ae9ac767decb
- http://pro.beatport.com - https://musicbrainz.org/release/cf6c99bf-3b31-4216-83da-77d2c2c5e8e7
- http://www.beatport.com - https://musicbrainz.org/release/6fdce1e5-3471-4274-99dd-7c9fa71297fc
- https://beatport.com - https://musicbrainz.org/release/9b0d12f8-4920-4fe7-ba64-8c1a07edaa80
- https://pro.beatport.com - https://musicbrainz.org/release/3068bed6-196e-4135-80a5-b3333a94be3c
- https://www.beatport.com - https://musicbrainz.org/release/678e15fd-5fdf-4777-8ba6-7a18585774a4
If you visit any of these beatport urls, it always redirects you to https://www.beatport.com (the last one on the list), assuming you're just a regular visitor without a pro account. I can merge this with MBS-6130 if it will be desired, but that ticket is from 2013 and I wouldn't want this to just sit there unattended as well. Thanks for looking into this issue, much appreciated!
