“The Songhay languages have little to no mutual intelligibility between each other” according to the Wikipedia article linked from ticket description. It is not surprising there is no ISO-639-3 code for it.

However, Songhay languages family has Linguasphere code 01-AAA-a (and Glottolog code song1307).

Can't add this one right now because of a limitation in the system (which is only allowing me to deal with languages that have an ISO 639-3 code). I could probably add the specific language, if you know it.
