Keeping search scores on the UI creates a sort of illusion that one result is better than the other result and provide a quantitative value to it. This is detrimental as it weighs down the importance of results appearing on the first page but not in the first place.

This is in line with all the other search engines. None of them display search scores in the UI.

Also, the scores dont provide any valuable information to the user.
