As reported in community forum, the homepage https://musicbrainz.org is sometimes (randomly) replaced with a security warning in Chrome-based browser. Facts are:

• the homepage displays cover art for recent additions;
• the Cover Art Archive (CAA) is hosted on the Internet Archive servers;
• some of these servers are reported as unsafe by Google Safe Browsing;
• this issue is two weeks old already, no progress has been reported, and there is no indication that it will be solved any soon.

After discussion in weekly meeting, it has been decided to temporarily disable CAA images on the homepage for Chrome-based browsers.

Note: The issue will still affect other (release and release group) pages and other (Google Safe Browsing enabled) browsers.
