createdb.sh -fetch -sample only works in standalone mode. But createdb.sh -fetch (for full database) should work for both replication mode and standalone mode. It currently supports replication mode only, because it doesn't download mbdump-editor.tar.bz2 which is needed to create foreign key constraints for the annotation table in standalone mode. Actually, it should probably just download all available dumps in standalone mode.
