So far only FTP was supported by the script that fetches the dumps needed to create the database and optionally the search indexes. However, this old protocol has issues with IPv6, leading to transient but repeated errors when initiating PASV transfer, among other issues. We are going to drop its support on the main server, and improve the support for HTTP/S. FTP will remain available on mirrors that support it.
