JIRA : stop converting apostrophe to typewriter apostrophe

      typographic correct apostrophes (U+2019) get converted to typewriter apostrophes (U+0027) in JIRA for no godd positive reason i'd see.
      and it's done in our back, post submit, it's not seen in the preview i mean.

      is it due to a configuration we could change on ours ?
      if so could we turn this off altogether with any other croppings (""«»ʺʹ) that could be useful when discussing style tickets...

      Here are the ones i've been bugged so far :

      • U+2018→U+0027
      • U+2019→U+0027
      • U+201C→U+0022
      • U+201D→U+0022

          I think you're right, I found nothing in jira-application.properties either...  :/

          There isn't a way to turn it off, so there's nothing we can do about it.

          maybe it's just a matter of editing a JIRA settings file... i don't know...
          actually i have browsed the jira administration pages and didn't find this in the field settings... so indeed maybe we can drop this ticket, it should be an atlassian ticket instead (over there, not here).

          Actually, I see you mention style tickets, so it would be best if someone else who works on these tickets can chime in and let me know what they think to get a second opinion. Reopening until that happens.
