Decided to check some really old articles from the MetaBrainz Blog, and found one article from March 2003 that announced the logging of the MusicBrainz IRC channel, with logs available at http://musicbrainz.org/archives/irc/. But currently this link redirects to http://chatlogs.musicbrainz.org/, which shows the "Welcome to nginx!" placeholder.

Obviously the IRC is still being logged but at different address, but someone who would accidentally stumble upon this page might get confused. So I think what could be done is either:

• replace nginx placeholder with a disclaimer about what was there and ask user to go to https://musicbrainz.org/doc/Communication/ChatBrainz to check current logs
• or automatically redirect user to that page.
