Hi!
So the ability to automatically neatly organise all the music files is one of the things that makes Picard so amazingly useful. And it's probably fair to say a lot of people using it have sizeable music collections.
I started tinkering with the filename scripting, adding an initial uppercase letter outer directory, using the sort name, etc, only to realise this had already been done at the very end of the https://picard.musicbrainz.org/docs/scripting/ page, implemented far better than my own efforts. I'm guessing I'm not the only person who missed that example at first.
Would it be possible to add it (and others) as different filename presets? So the current default could remain the default, but that example in the documentation could be added as an easily selectable alternative option.
I think it would be a nice feature, for users advanced enough to want to find the most appropriate settings for their particular music collection size, but not advanced enough to dive into making their own naming schemes.
