The taskbar on Windows 7 and later can show a progress indicator. If Picard is busy with long running operations, e.g. web requests for a large collection or saving a lot of files, it would be useful to make use of this to indicate progress.

Qt5 allows accessing this with https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qwintaskbarbutton.html

As a side note: Other desktop environments might provide similar progress indication. This could be added in a way that makes it easy to extend with any kind of progress indication. Example of this is com.canonical.Unity.LauncherEntry on Linux, which was done originally for Unity but is supported by multiple implementations (e.g. KDE and the GNOME Dash-to-Dock extension both support it).
