MusicBee has a handy feature that allows creating .asx files as placeholders when you have the same recording duplicated between releases. The files contain the metadata from the album they are "in" and a pointer to the kept audio file. In the player, they behave as any other files.
I started using this feature recently, but I realized that when I load one of the albums into Picard, the .asx tracks are missing. This breaks things like identifying complete albums, as well as forcing me to update those tracks manually. I would love it if Picard could also pick those files up and update the metadata as with others.
