When displaying column information for e.g. a track level tag the column stays empty on the album level.

Picard could show aggregated information from the child items, e.g.:

• If the tag is set to the same value on all child items, show that value
• If there are multiple values, show the number of distinct values (e.g. "5 values")
• If the tag is not set at all, keep it empty

Note: This has a potential performance impact, especially with many columns and many releases loaded, or on clusters / albums with many child items. And Picard seems to recalculate column content too often already. Before doing this we should investigate performance impact and potential optimizations.
