Windows 7
I am a first time user and not an advanced PC user but I do OK. This has been my experience so far:
1) Install OK
2) Run Picard
3) Set Options including automatic scan
4) Add "My Music" folder, a large collection
5) Program Crashed after partially processing library (small Windows box with error message about program terminated in unusual way or something like that)
FYI - during above processing on my laptop, on AC power, with lid closed running external monitor, my pooter went go to sleep. I checked and have all settings such that it is not supposed to EVER go to sleep. Opened lid, kept going. Didn't go to sleep anymore.
6) Restarted program, but selecting "Options" causes program to freeze
7) Reinstalled program (w/o un-install), but selecting "Options" still causes program to freeze
7) Uninstall, Reboot, Reinstall
8) Re-started program, can access menu items again (including Options)
9) Processed small portion of library (515 files) - OK
I guess I will just process in small batches, but I thought I'd let you know.
