New users are often confused about scanned tracks being scattered over a large number of various artists compilations. That is quite easy to solve using the sliders in the Preferred Releases options (I have album halfway to the right and compilation halfway to the left for example). But most new users don't look at the available options or don't know what they mean. I think changing the default for this setting would make life a little easier for new users.
