I have a feeling that the corruptions I have been experiencing in PICARD-933 are caused by Windows Media Player updating metadata in the background.
Do we need some functionality that runs at Picard startup (on Windows) and checks the relevant registry settings to check that this functionality is turned off and if not to offer to (close WMP) and turn it off for the user?
